YOUNGSTERS of all ages have taken their first steps toward embracing the game of soccer, with the Three Colours Soccer Club officially launching Sunraysia’s first Miniroos Football Program.
Now in its second week, close to 15 kids have signed up for the six-week program, which is open to kids aged between five and 12.
The program is a Football Federation Victoria initiative aimed at introducing kids to the basics of the sport, while also encouraging them to become involved in local competitions.
The introductory program is open to both boys and girls, with focus to be on skill development and enjoyment of the game. The Miniroos Program is still open to interested participants every Wednesday from 5.30pm to 6.30pm at the Old Aerodrome Ovals, with cost $50 – which includes a soccer ball, shin pads, and a drink bottle.
All participants are expected to receive their new kits sometime in the next week, with excitement already starting to build when the Mildura Weekly paid a visit this week.
More information about the Miniroos Football Program is available by contacting 0416 054 372.
