LOWER Murray Water irrigation customers affected by the recent demise of Clynes Dried Fruit have been encouraged to contact the corporation to discuss options for payment of their water accounts if they are having, or are expecting, financial difficulties.
Lower Murray Water (LMW) managing director, Ron Leamon, said: “We understand that our customers who supplied fruit to Clynes may have problems with their payments from the dried fruits processor.
“We suggest that these customers make contact with LMW’s rating section to discuss payment arrangements which may assist in paying water accounts over a longer period,” he said.
“This is part of LMW’s normal service, and is available to all customers. We are always willing to discuss and plan payment arrangements with any customer who is experiencing a situation of defined hardship.”
Customers wanting further information should contact Lower Murray Water on 5051 3400.
