Mildura Tourism ‘bible’ released

Posted on December 16, 2011

MILDURA Tourism released the main tool in its printed marketing arsenal this week – a 92-page visitor guide to Mildura and Wentworth.

The full colour document is being described as the region’s “signature marketing brochure” featuring details of more than 120 Sunraysia tourism operators, products and attractions, including details on the region’s many towns and national park areas.

The guide also features seven pages of updated maps and refreshed photography, capturing images of the district’s rejuvenated rivers and waterways following this year’s floods.

Mildura Tourism says more than 130,000 copies of the guide have been produce for Australia-wide distribution over the next 12 months.

It will also be distributed locally to major tourism outlets in time for the Christmas and January holiday season and to Tourism Victoria’s international offices for further distribution to key overseas travel trade.

Mildura Tourism chief executive, Rod Trowbridge, this week described the guide as a “visitors’ bible” to Sunraysia.

“Essentially this is the visitors’ bible to our region. It has everything: accommodation, attractions, touring information, restaurants, wineries, arts and culture, major events plus all of our region’s major products,” Mr Trowbridge said.

Sunraysia residents can obtain the new guide from either the Mildura or Wentworth Visitor Information Centres or read it online at www.visitmildura.com.au.
