THE Merbein Football and Netball Club today received $100,000 of funding from the Victorian Government expand their netball facilities.
Through the Victorian Government, Mildura Rural City Council (MRCC), Merbein community businesses and the sporting club itself, the Magpies will add a second netball court and 200 lux lighting at their Kenny Park home.
The overall project, which has been in the pipeline for three years, will cost of $341,297 and is expected to be completed by May 2018.
The announcement and cheque handover was attended by Merbein Football and Netball Club president Toney Hurley, Sunraysia Football and Netball League (SFNL) president Ros Milverton, Member for Northern Victoria Mark Gepp and MRCC Councillor for Sport and Recreation Mark Eckel.
