IRYMPLE Knights and Mildura City have two games remaining in the 2017 version of their Football Federation Sunraysia (FFS) S-League rivalry.

The local heavyweights want to add to their ever-expanding trophy cabinets when they face off in both senior men’s and women’s grand finals this weekend.

In the S-League, the top team at the end of the home-and-away season wins the S-League title. The top four teams, however, will play each other in an additional finals series, with the winning team rewarded with the grand final trophy.

Knights, who have won four of the last five men’s titles, are aiming for their fifth consecutive men’s grand final win.

City have been the side most capable of de-throning Knights, and would love nothing more than to win the final piece of silverware on offer.

Mildura City have been the powerhouse of the women’s competition in recent years and will look to continue that momentum after another S-League title in 2017. Irymple Knights will look to get one back on their biggest rivals.

Mildura City will have a team present in every grade of grand finals taking place at Soccer Park at Aero Ovals on Sunday.
