A MILDURA man, who wishes to remain anonymous, has enjoyed a Monday to remember today (July 31), after discovering his new millionaire status after winning Division One in last Saturday’s TattsLotto $20million Superdraw.
The man won a Division One prize of $1.052million in Superdraw 3759 on July 29, and according to reports was understandably in disbelief when given the news.
The lucky Mildura winner was one of 19 Division One winning entries across Australia in TattsLotto draw 3759, including seven from New South Wales, nine from Victoria, two from Queensland and one from South Australia.
The winning Mildura man said the win would make his life “a lot easier,” saying he initially plans to use some of his windfall to pay off some debts.
“Worked all my life – we aren’t wealthy and we have a few things, but we have some debt so that will just top my life off,” he said. “I don’t think I’ll retire, I don’t think I could handle retirement, I do like working, but it will make life so much easier.”
In addition to winning Division One, the Mildura man’s 36-game QuickPick entry also won Division Five, bolstering his prize to $1.058million.
The regular player bought the winning 36-game QuickPick entry from Deakin Lucky Lotto, with manager, Helen Brown, PICTURED, saying it was exciting for the store to have sold another Division One winning entry.
“We sold our first Division One entry for 2017 in April, so this is our second winning ticket in just four months!” she said. “We like to think we are a lucky shop for our customers, so it is great to hear it is a local customer and regular player.”
