UP FOR RE-ELECTION: Member for Mildura, Peter Crisp, has confirmed he will definitely stand again at the next State election to be held in November 2018.

THE question as to whether Member for Mildura Peter Crisp will stand for re-election in the 2018 Victorian election was answered on Tuesday – and it’s a definite yes.

Earlier in the year Mr Crisp had hinted he would likely go-around again, but it wasn’t categoric.

Confirming his intention to recontest the seat, Mr Crisp said it was a privilege to serve the people of the Mildura electorate, and to do the job well requires dedication and determination.

“I want to continue in this role, because there are a lot of things that I still want to achieve, and I believe there is a real likelihood that a change of government will happen, and that’ll be a good thing for people in the Mildura electorate,” Mr Crisp said.

“I still have the energy required to do the job well, and I intend to continue to pursue the issues that affect people’s lives, and to ensure that our region gets its fair share of the pie when it comes to Government spending.”

The next State election is scheduled to be held on Saturday, November 24, 2018.
