Members of the Mildura and District Little Athletics Centre competed at the South Australian State Individual Championships last weekend.

The athletes came away with a number of medals and personal best distances and times broken.

Aylah Rowe finished fifth in her 200m heat, sixth in the 400m final and eighth in the 1500m final, recording personal best times in all three events.

Brock Nokes finished seventh in the discus final, with a personal best throw of 3.39m, and seventh in the final for high jump with a height of 1.38m.

He also finished eighth in the final of the 80m Hurdles and eighth in the final of the 200m, as well as achieving a personal best time in his heat of the 100m.

Denholm Shaw won both the 800m and 1500m, taking five seconds off his personal best time in the shorter distance event.

In the U12 Girls 1500m, Jasmine Shaw finished in sixth place, knocking nine seconds off her previous best time.

Isabell Alchin had a successful couple of days at the event, winning gold in both the 100m and 200m events and achieving personal best results in both.

Oscar Bitmead was also consistent at the championships in his events, finishing fifth in the 100m, 200m and 400m finals as well as eighth in shot put.

Porta and Remy MacNamara also competed at the event, Porta competing in javelin and throwing a personal best in shot put, while Remy competed in discus, javelin and shot put.
