Mildura is excited to be hosting the Regional Aviation Association of Australia’s (RAAA) first roadshow to be held in Mildura next Thursday and Friday, with the launch of the event to take place at the Quality Hotel Mildura Grand.

The RAAA has decided to run a series of roadshows instead of their traditional end of year conference this year.

The organisation’s spokesperson said that as this is one of the first real face-to-face events on the aviation calendar, they hope to attract a good number to this wonderful regional centre.

Mildura Airport CEO Trevor Willcock said it is a coup for Mildura to be chosen to stage the event and he expects there will be more than one hundred members plus their partners and family coming to Mildura.

“It’s a two day conference, with a series of guest speakers, including Mildura based chairman of CASA, Tony Mathews, who will be addressing the group,” Mr Willcock said.

“Mr Mathews, who is also a former RAAA chair, will reflect on CASA’s role throughout the pandemic in his talk.

“On the Thursday evening, we will all be going aboard a paddlesteamer for a dinner cruise.

“Alliance Airlines have done a great deal to enable the delegates to fly directly into Mildura aboard an Embraer E190 jet aircraft which is travelling via Brisbane and Sydney to collect them.”
