Breyana and her husband visited McDonalds Deakin Avenue last week to get coffee after attending a few appointments, and she now can’t believe that she is in the running to win a new car courtesy of Mildura Toyota.

An excited Jacob, 31, said that he had been taken by surprise when receiving the news that he was now in the running to win a new Toyota Yaris courtesy of Mildura Toyota.

He is also $250 richer following his success in Week 7 of the 2019 Giveaway.

“I had popped into Totally Workwear Mildura to buy some new boots and socks, and the lady that served me gave me the entry form and told me to enter,” he said.

Bronwen ‘blown away’ by Car and Cash win

MILDURA’S Bronwen Walker doesn’t believe she is “a lucky person” – in fact she says she hardly wins anything!

Her luck, it seems, has changed for the better, with Bronwen this week named the sixth finalist in the Mildura Weekly’s 2019 Car and Cash Giveaway.

Bronwen, 68, who secured her winning entry after visiting the Sunraysia’s Farmers Market, is now one of nine people in the running to win a brand new Toyota Yaris courtesy of Mildura Toyota.

She also netted a cool $250 as part of the win.

Bronwen said that she had been “blown away” when she got the news.

“It’s all very exciting, even more so now that I’m in the running to win a new car,” she said. “If I win it would be very exciting… it might mean my husband will have to sell his ute!”

Bronwen is a regular visitor to the Farmers Market, and secured her entry after some fresh fruit and vegetable shopping.

“I bought some apricots and zucchinis from memory, while also paying a visit to Biscuits by Tonia,” she said. “My husband and I always make the effort when we can to come down.”

Two $100 shopping sprees were also awarded as part of the Week Six draw, with Lorraine Heley, who shopped at Mai’s Accessories, and Dianne Smith, who shopped at The Deakin Bakery, the lucky recipients.

POT LUCK! 1. Alec’s ‘lucky’ Car and Cash win!

WHILE initially setting his sights on a Tattslotto first-prize ticket, Alec Hawtin has still been able to secure a jackpot – just of a different kind.

Becoming the Mildura Weekly’s fifth Car and Cash $250 winner, Alec is now one of nine people in the running to win a new Toyota Yaris, courtesy of Mildura Toyota.

It was on one of his weekly visits to the Irymple Post Office that Alec filled out his winning ticket.

“We come here every week to get our mail, and our unlucky Tattslotto ticket,” Alec laughed. “But we’ve been lucky – this time anyway!”

The Irymple Post Office must be a lucky spot, as it has already produced a $250 Car and Cash winner in previous years.

Owner of the Irymple Post Office, Nat Kiel, hopes this time the $250 winner will also score a car!

While not sure what he will spend his prize money on just yet, Alec is determined it won’t go to waste.

“It certainly won’t be spent on bills,” he joked.

Two $100 shopping sprees were also awarded as part of the Week Five draw, with Sharon Cashen, who shopped at Benetook Autos, and Gary Lonyon, who shopped at Sprint Auto Parts, the lucky recipients.
