Louise punches her ticket to Car and Cash Giveaway finale!

MILDURA teacher Louise Kent is still pinching herself after being named the first finalist as past of the 2019 Mildura Weekly Car and Cash Giveaway.

Louise was drawn from a pool of thousands of entrants following the Giveaway’s first week, and now has a one in nine chance of driving away with a brand new Toyota Yaris courtesy of Mildura Toyota.

Louise also received a $250 shopping spree following the win, which can be spent at any participating Car and Cash Giveaway business.

A regular shopper at Chemist Warehouse’s Fifteenth Street store, Louise said that she had entered the Car and Cash Giveaway “numerous times” over the years with no luck.

“I was absolutely ecstatic when I got the news,” she said. “I’m probably in at Chemist Warehouse once every two weeks, and always try and enter the Giveaway when it’s on.”

Louise is now in the running to win a Toyota Yaris, and will be joined by eight other finalists on Saturday, May 18, for the final draw.

“It would be fantastic to win, the family would be absolutely delighted,” she said. “I can’t thank Chemist Warehouse and Mildura Weekly enough.

“This is a great competition, and now I’m just really hopeful that I can pick out the right key on the day!”

Chemist Warehouse is no stranger to producing Car and Cash Giveaway finalists and winners, with 2017 Yaris winner Jenny Cirillo securing her place in the final draw after shopping at the pharmacy.

Chemist Warehouse Pharmacy Assistant Michelle Wilkie said the 2019 promotion had already proved a win for the business.

“We get quite a few people through the door, and everyone knows about the competition and appreciate it,” she said. “We’re excited to have the first winner… and hopefully Louise can go on and win the major prize!”

Two $100 shopping sprees were also awarded as part of the Week One draw, with Megan Gilchrist, who shopped at Spotlight, and Kate Tierney, who shopped at the Sunraysia Farmers Market, the lucky recipients.
