Graphic Designer

The Mildura Weekly, has an exciting career opportunity for an enthusiastic and self driven Graphic Designer to join our award winning team. 

We are looking for a highly motivated, creative and organised individual who has thorough attention to detail and a strong customer service focus.

The successful applicant will have the ability to handle pressure and manage several projects at one time, whilst maintaining a high standard of design work to ensure clients expectations are met.

Highly developed communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders is a must. Extensive knowledge of Adobe Indesign, Photoshop and Illustrator is required, experience with photography and video editing software is desirable, but not essential.

Advertising Sales Consultant

The Mildura Weekly, has an exciting career opportunity for an enthusiastic Advertising Sales Consultant – Special Publications and Features.

You will have flair and creativity (and imagination) in crafting engaging print and online advertising opportunities for local businesses across the region in special publications and features for the Weekly and provide clients with exceptional service. Previous experience in a sales environment, proficiency in Microsoft Office and good computer skills will be part of your service toolkit.

You will thrive meeting clients in business – small, medium and large corporate – and working collaboratively with other members of the Weekly’s advertising sales team and liaising with its editorial and production departments to tailor advertising campaigns in our special publications and features already planned for 2021 while also identifying new opportunities.

Demonstrated organisational, time management and problem solving skills are essential together with good communication and administrative skills with a clear focus on exceptional client service to consistently meet target KPIs.

Weekly Walkers

We are Hiring Newspaper Walkers – ALL AREAS!

Earn extra cash, keep fit and have some fun as a member of our Weekly Walkers Team.
You won’t have to stand around folding advertising material for hours beforehand – just pick up and go each Friday!

Position Description:

Your services will be engaged on a casual basis, as required by Mildura Weekly. As a casual service provider, each engagement you are required to work will be considered a separate agreement which ceases at the end of that engagement. With the casual nature, there is no guarantee of ongoing service requirement or a regular pattern of work.

Duties / Responsibilities

  • Collect newspapers from Mildura Weekly offices at or after time set by (Distribution Co-ordinator);
  • Deliver newspapers to households and businesses as issued
  • Deliver to “no junk mail signs’ as newspaper is not regarded as junk mail
  • Ensure paper is delivered in newspaper slot, on top of letterbox or inside property line/boundary at all times
  • Report any under or over supply that you have, ensuring that the correct quantity is provided to you
  • Ensure you only deliver within designated areas / maps
  • Refer and adhere to special delivery instructions which are updated each week, taking care not to deliver to listed addresses
  • Deliver all newspapers by 5pm Friday of each week **
