National television brand ‘4WD TV’, who host nationally televised programs ”Life Off Road,’ ‘YOUR4x4,’ and ‘4WD ProTips,’ were in Mildura over the weekend to film and showcase the area for upcoming episodes.

The crew was dealt a poor hand when their trip to South Australia was cancelled due to COVID, but with the help of Trek Hardware, who are aligned with the Monaghan Truck and Trailer Sales store, they were able to organise a trip to Mildura and the surrounding Sunraysia and Mallee region.

The crew and members of Trek Hardware and Monaghan Truck and Trailer Sales had breakfast at the store last Friday morning to celebrate.

“4WD TV isn’t just about four-wheeled driving in the outback but about the community and the environment,” owner and host Simon Christie explained.

“Mildura is a hotspot, it’s a gateway to the outback. There’s so much to do here for the community and tourists, and the region has so much culture and history which centres around Mildura, so we want to showcase it.”

Simon was also thrilled with the work Trek Hardware and owner Mike Ellar, as well as Brad Monaghan of Monaghan Truck and Trailer Sales, had done to get the show organised.

“Trek and Monaghan’s have played a big part in all this so the breakfast is a big thank you to them. As it’s a fairly new store we wanted to celebrate that as well and give them some feedback or compliments.”

Brad Monaghan was also excited about the show hitting Mildura, seeing it as a great opportunity to show the country what the town and the region has to offer.

“We’ve been lucky to organise this with Trek, and Sarah Gilmore from Mildura Regional Development, who has been a fantastic help. We all saw it as a great opportunity for are area, it’s a real spotlight on Sunraysia.”
