A RETIREE from Mildura says she is “absolutely lost for words” after taking out Division One – and a cool $1million – in this week’s Monday Lotto draw.
The woman held the only Division One-winning entry nationally in Monday & Wednesday Lotto draw 3840.
Sharing her joy with a Tatts official while claiming her prize, the winner, who wishes to remain anonymous, couldn’t contain her disbelief.
“Oh my gosh! You’re not kidding are you?” she asked. “I am absolutely lost for words! It’s a lot to take in.
“This is just wonderful! I love this. I never thought I would win. I have been playing every week for ages. I am shocked. Thank you very, very much.”
When asked how she planned to spend her prize, the woman said she would share it with those at the top of her ‘Lotto List’.
“I am very close with my children. I will be sharing it with them,” she said. “I would love to travel to the UK. I will go travelling with my daughter or my granddaughter.
“I want to go to Scotland – it’s my first choice. I have always dreamed of visiting Scotland. It will be amazing! I am glad I can finally do it!”
The lucky winner purchased her winning entry at Red Cliffs Newsagency.
Red Cliffs Newsagency’s Kathy Glen said she was thrilled her outlet had sold its first Division One-winning entry.
“We are very excited!” she said. “It’s the first Division One winning entry we have ever sold. We hope this is the start of a winning streak and we deliver more big wins to our customers.
“We are so happy for our winner, and hope she enjoys life now she is a millionaire!”
The winning numbers in Monday & Wednesday Lotto draw 3840 were 26, 42, 22, 6, 38 and 31, while the supplementary numbers were 8 and 23.
The Lott’s Division One winning tally has now reached 228 this financial year, including 97 won by Tatts customers.
In the 12 months to December 31, 2018, there were 280 Division One-winning TattsLotto entries across the Lott’s jurisdictions, which collectively won more than $306.19million.
