ONE person is dead and two more are in a serious condition following a fatal crash in Red Cliffs last night.

Police are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident, which occurred in Red Cliffs at about 8.45pm on Monday.

Investigators believe a sedan was travelling on Indi Avenue when it left the road and hit a pole.

The three occupants of the car were all male, with one passengers dying at the scene. 

Ambulance Victoria paramedics treated a man aged in his 30s for significant injuries. 

He was taken to Mildura Base Hospital in a critical condition. 

Another man in his 30s was treated for chest injuries. He was also taken to Mildura Base Hospital in a serious condition.

Investigators are appealing for anyone who witnessed the crash or car prior to the incident, or who may have dash cam footage, to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or submit a confidential crime report at www.crimestoppersvic.com.au.

The incident also caused a power blackout in Red Cliffs. Power was reportedly restored to affected areas at around 1am this morning.
