MOTORISTS are being urged to plan their trips carefully during the next month while Mildura Rural City Council undertakes significant road works on Fifteenth Street between Walnut and Deakin avenues starting next Monday, September 3.

Council’s acting general manager Development, Mike Mooney, said contractors will be working to remove and replace a stormwater drainage pipe that runs underneath a section of the road, with approximately 25m of the road to be reconstructed.

“Lights will be set up at either end of the work site to manage traffic, which will be restricted to one lane only,” he said.

“There will also be a period of approximately two days where a full road closure is required while the road is asphalted.

“Full access will still be available to residential properties in the area, however, we encourage general motorists to seek an alternate route to minimise delays to their travel times.”
