RICHMOND has told Derek Eggmolesse-Smith he will not be offered a contract for 2021.
Eggmolesse-Smith played eight games for the Tigers, including six this season, after being drafted in the 2018 Rookie Draft as a Next Generation Academy selection.
He won the Sunraysia league’s Rising Star and best and fairest awards playing for Wentworth in 2016 before moving to Melbourne to train with Richmond reserves and play with Fitzroy Stars in the Northern Football League.
Eggmolesse-Smith was among the best in Richmond’s round seven win this season over North Melbourne with 23 disposals, collecting two Brownlow votes.
Richmond General Manager – Football Talent, Blair Hartley, thanked Eggmolesse-Smith for his hard work and dedication. “We wish Derek well in his playing career and all of his future endeavours.”
