RED Cliffs football export Dylan Stephens will make his AFL debut for Sydney this Sunday.
The 19-year-old who was selected at pick five in last year’s AFL Draft will join the Swans senior side to take on reigning premiers Richmond at the Gabba.
Stephens will debut alongside fellow first-year midfielder Chad Warner.
The young gun drafted out of Norwood in the South Australian National Football League (SANFL) told the Sydney Swans website he couldn’t wait to pull on the red and white guernsey.
“It is something that I have dreamed of ever since I was a little kid, since I started playing footy, and now the day has come,” he said.
“It is an amazing feeling. Things are obviously going to be different to any other debut, which I think is a good thing and creates a bit of variation.”
