YOUNG guns from Mildura Clay Target Club are shooting for the stars.

Lachlan Heaysman, Bayley Kelly, Zoe Heinrich and Chanelle Ricardi, PICTURED LEFT TO RIGHT, all won medals at the recent Victorian Clay Target Association (VCTA) Northern Zone School Shoot.

Bayley, 14, won the High Gun award for being the best overall shooter on the day.

Lachlan, 16, won a bronze medal in the Senior Boys division, while Zoe (second), 14,  and Chanelle (third), 14, made the podium in Junior Girls.

On Monday the quartet shot in the State Final in Echuca after qualifying through Northern Zone. Zoe finished with a bronze medal in the Junior Girls after three shoot-offs, while the others  did not place but represented their club with distinction.

There is plenty of young talent coming out of the Mildura Clay Target Club, with these four leading the way for the next crop of teenage competitors.
